About the course

Our KS3 Year 9 Computing course is flexible and self-paced, covering six strands:  1) Python programming with sequences of data 2) 3D animation  3) Data science 4) Data representation: images & sound 5) Introduction to cybersecurity  6) Applying programming skills with physical computing (Microbits, no Mircobit needed as a simulator can be used) It builds confidence and problem-solving ready for (I)GCSE Computer Science. Please note: Students should complete Year 8 Unit 6 before starting this course, or have prior Python experience with key concepts such as variables, print(), input(), if/elif/else, and while loops. (Year 8 Unit 6 is available separately.)
